Antigua Guatemala

La Ciudad de La Antigua Guatemala tiene un gran número de ruinas y edificios coloniales restaurados, que constituye una fracción de la esplendorosa arquitectura colonial de la ciudad, que nos dan una idea de su gran extravagancia.

Arquitectura Colonial desde el Parque Central, la Vieja Plaza Real donde peleas de toros y comerciantes que agrupaban cerca de la Catedral, el Palacio de los Capitanes Generales, Palacio Municipal, y donde encontramos más de 30 Monumentos coloniales al rededor de la Ciudad de Antigua Guatemala, la cual la hace "Un patrimonio Cultural Mundial y Monumento de América".

Los Museos contienen una gran colección de ate religioso, esculturas, muebles y murales que detallan la vida colonial.

Algunos edificios datan de 1579; Antigua surgió como un vasto centro religioso y cultural, que incluía escuelas, hospitales, escuelas de música, iglesias y monasterios.

Architecture 

Antigua Guatemala City has an incredible number of ruins and restored colonial buildings, though these constitute are only a part of the city's original architectural splendour, they do give an idea of its former extravagance. Colonial Architecture from the central park, the old Plaza Real where bullfights and markets were held, the Cathedral, the Palace of the Captains General, Municipal Palace, Museums and more than 30 colonial monuments around the city make La Antigua Guatemala "world cultural patrimony and Monument of America".

The museums contain a good collection of dark and brooding religious art, sculpture, furniture and murals depicting life on the colonial campus.

Some buildings are dating from 1579; Antigua grew into a vast religious and cultural center that included schools, hospitals, music rooms, churches and monasteries.
